We all need our escapes form time to time. And since my boyfriend is running around like a mad man these last few months - being ridiculously busy at work - and I too tend to put myself on very tight schedules, we couldn't be more looking forward to our weekend getaway to Luxembourg two weeks ago. From Friday evening till Sunday noon we've been spoiled to the fullest by the people of The Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal. The luxury hotel itself boasts of modern facilities and offers two crowning jewels on the eight floor; a rooftop restaurant and a rooftop bar with an overwhelming view overlooking the city. I don't think we ever enjoyed staying in such iconic elegance. I tried to capture my personal highlights for you; from our breathtaking breakfast and our visit to the impressive UNESCO tunnels to shopping at Smets and sipping gin and tonic in our hotel.
